Above-ground Pool (10' x 30")..Simplest Maintenance

by G
(Malaysia)

I have an above-ground metal-framed pool. 10' diameter x 30" high and a secret for the simplest maintenance. It is positioned on patio tiles & under a polycarbonate awning.

After filling with water, I add about 5kg of diluted table salt solution. We use the pool daily for 5 days at 1.5hrs per time. I then fully drain the water, leaving the pool to dry for 2 days. Thereafter repeat process of refilling, adding salt & using for 5 days.

Being in a tropical country, we get to enjoy the pool almost year-round except rainy season where it gets too cold to swim. I have a swimming pool filter pump that came in the box, but as electricity is expensive, I don't use this.

This is how I maintain my pool water & it's clear, clean & chemical free.

Thanks for your comment G

Maybe others in similar climates can learn from your technique. I'd love to see a picture of what you've done with your swimming pool.

That's what make this site so good. Everyone contributes their successes and shares them so others can get the benefit as well.

Good luck with your pool and a great swimming season.

Robert
