Brown Water In My Salt Water Pool

When we ran our salt system our water turns brown after a while. Will the sand filter take care of this for me. Thanks for the question Dan There really could be many reasons why the pool turned a brown color. It could be algae, new sand, dirty well water, metals in the water... I'd like to have your pool chemical readings: Chlorine pH Alkalinity Hardness CYA Did you have your pool water tested for metal such as iron and copper. Many times it's an iron issue that can be resolved with a metal sequestrant. I seriously doubt that a simple salt system (if properly installed and working) would turn pool water brown. It could happen, but unlikely. If you could give me the readings and answers to the questions above, I'm sure I can help.
