Cloudy Swimming Pool Water..Dirt From The Jets..

by Alwyn Raney
(Corfu Greece)

When I hoover my pool there is a small amount of dirty water that comes back out of the jets at the end of the pool which makes the water a bit cloudy.

How can I resolve this problem?

Thanks for your question Alwyn

Here are some troubleshooting posts to questions about debris returning back to the pool, and other situations that you might to take a look at:

AIR AND BLOW BACK..LOSS OF SUCTION..

Look at the fittings, lose pump motor lid, O-rings, etc...from the above links.

The question didn't mention what kind of filter you have, but my experience tells me that when debris goes back into the pool through the jets, it's normally a sand or DE filter.

With sand filters, you'll want to be sure you have the right amount of sand and the correct size. Your owners manual can tell you that information. Also be sure the check the measurement in inches from the top of the sand to the top of the filter opening.

Many times a broken lateral is the problem with sand filters. If the lateral is broken, you'll need to scoop out the sand, replace the lateral, then put the sand back into the filter.

With DE filters, it's a tear or rip in the grid(s). If there are any the best solution is a replacement of any bad, worn, or torn grids.

Hope this helps and have a great Summer
