Jandy JVA 2444 Valve Actuator..Pool Water Temperature Too High

My pool company recently replaced the Jandy JVA 2444 valve.

Since then my solar heat is going much higher than it is set for. It is set for 88, and goes as high as 94.

I have been trying to turn the temp. down from the controls in the house but I have to turn the pump off to help the situation.

Could the valve have been installed incorrectly?

Thanks for the question

The JVA 2444 is actually an upgrade from the older model of the JVA2440.

It has a newer design with easier cam adjustment, PCB and a hidden toggle switch.

It also automates any 2-way and 3-way diverter valve for pool & spa combination and those with water features.

It's also made to rotate diverters to any position.

With any kind of equipment such as this there's always a chance of it not working or being installed incorrectly.

It could possibly be that there isn't enough or too much water flow going through the system.

My experience has shown that it's either a lack or or not enough. The flow might be missing which in turn would possibly mean the unit was not installed correctly.

Having a 94 degree pool normally isn't refreshing.

I would encourage you to talk to the installer and explain the problem your having.

If everything was working correctly before and the only difference is that you had this actuator installed, I would definitely start there.

Hope this helps and good luck with your pool.

Robert
