Saltwater Pool Upkeep

I don't have a manual to care for my salt water pool and don't have a clue as to how to care for it.

Do you know where I might obtain one?

Thanks for the question

There are a few things different about taking care of a salt pool as opposed to a regular chlorine pool.

Here are some good posts to look over:

Is Converting To Saltwater Pool Cheaper And Better?

Salt Water Above Ground Pool Start Up Treatment

Which Salt To Use In A Salt Water Swimming Pool?

The above links have other links to pages that will help you out as well.

There's also lots of great information about salt pools and chlorine generators on the pool Q&A page:

Swimming Pool Questions and Answers

Due to the scope of the question it's really time prohibitive to go through everything.

You'll want to study these pages as well:

Salt Water Swimming Pools

Chlorine Generator

It would be a very long process in telling you exactly what to do and how to do it.

That's why this site has nearly 700 pages. To give you the information you need from someone who has actually done the work.

I've taken care of salt pools in Arizona and Oregon (since 1999) and have been the pool operator for the YMCA (80,000 gallons salt pool) since 2008.

Having a pool isn't something that can be written about in a couple of sentences because there's alot that goes into it.

I would encourage you to look over the pages above. Really study them.

And, if you have a specific question please feel free to contact me again.

To post a reply, or if you have a similar question, you can see your post on the Q&A page in the "Salt Water Pools" category.
