Too Much Suction When Vacuuming The Pool

When I try to vacuum our above ground pool, there is so much suction that the sweeper head gets sucked tight to the bottom of the pool liner.

The only way to move it is to turn off the filter and stop the flow of water.

Why does it do this and/or how do I avoid this problem?

Thanks for the question

There could be a few reasons why your vacuum head is sticking to the pool bottom.

There could be irregularities (humps and bumps) on the pool floor

The sides of the vacuum head could be flipping up. This is mainly caused by not storing the vacuum head on a level surface.

The brushes and/or bristles might be going bad

You can either open up the main drain (if applicable) a little, remove the plug from the other skimmer, or open the other skimmer just a bit.

Try these and see how it works out.
