Why Is There Sand At Bottom Of Pool
by Jonathan

QuestionHow could I clean the sand out of the bottom of my above ground pool without having to empty it every time?
Thanks for the question Jonathan
First I need to know why you're getting sand in the pool in the first place.
Is sand returning through the returns after back washing? You may need to RINSE or you might have a broken lateral(s).
Have you just replaced the sand in the filter?
Is the sand greased up? You may have channeling.
Are there uncommon windstorms in your area?
Being that I don't have this information I can only guess as to why you're having this problem.
The easiest way to get rid of sand is to either manually vacuum the sand or use a pool cleaner such as a Polaris.

Getting sand into the pool is a common problem, but it means that something is not functioning properly.
If you could contact me again with a little information I'm sure I can help troubleshoot your issue.

Thanks for the question
Yes it's normal for some sand and debris to go back into the pool right after changing the sand.
New pool sand is full of dirt. This dirt will go back into the pool until the sand has a chance to settle. You'll normally see for the next 5 - 7 days.
Barring any broken laterals or standpipes, the sand should start to decrease within that time period.
