My filtering system is about 7 yrs old. It has a Pantera PCF 150 cartridge filter (actually uses 2 stacked PCF 75's ).
Never had a problem until recently when after cleaning the filters and re-inserting them I noticed that the water remained slightly cloudy and the pressure gauge remained low (20psi) which is the same as when there are no filters in place.
I am not sure if this is because the water and filters are very clean or if there is something else causing the water to remain slightly cloudy.
The cartridges are 7 yrs old.
Any helpful hints would be most appreciated
Hi Roman. We need to start with the suction side of the filtration system. Low pressure normally indicates blocks or obstructions in the skimmer or suction line, broken, damaged or clogged pump impeller, and/or clogged pump basket.
I would definitely change out the filters. Their effectiveness lasts only 3000 filter hours.
The pump motor might not be able to pull the water from the pool to itself so this can cause it to strain and show low pressure.
Be sure to turn the motor off while looking for the cause.
I looking to buy a above ground pool from my local dealer. There package come with a waterway clear 11 system. Looking on line about this system is not a lot of info. I see Hayward, penciler, as top product. Should I try this system or request other brand
